About me
Hi, I'm Leon - the person behind this site.
I'm a passionate camper who's on the road as often as I can manage, and if you've ever tried to find a decent bathroom solution while camping off-grid, you know the struggle is real.
Over the years, I've tested more composting toilets than I probably should admit — in my van, at campsites, and yes, even in my own backyard when I wanted to really put a model through its paces.
This site is where I share everything I've learned along the way. I've taken a close look at the best and most popular models from the biggest names in the industry, so you don't have to sift through all the marketing claims yourself. My goal is simple: give you honest, hands-on insights so you can make the right choice for your setup — whether that's a tiny home, an RV, a boat, or a weekend camping trip.
This project is a genuine passion of mine — a labor of love I run in my free time because I believe good, honest information shouldn't be hard to find. I'm always looking to improve, so if you have feedback, questions, or just want to share your own composting toilet experience, head over to my Contact page — I'd love to hear from you.
A Note to Manufacturers
If you're a composting toilet manufacturer and you're interested in having your product tested independently and honestly, I'd love to hear from you too. Reach out via my Contact page — I'm always open to reviewing new models and sharing my genuine, unbiased take with my readers.
