TROBOLO is the abbreviation of "Trockenbiolokus," which essentially stands for "dry bio toilet." The company's founder is Friedrich Lange, who initially designed a composting toilet out of his own personal need: on his trip through Europe and Africa in his converted Mercedes 809, he repeatedly encountered the same problem, the question of going to the toilet and the natural disposal of waste.
